United Way Conducts Pilot Bateville/Panola County Campaign
In 2010, the United Way Board voted to conduct, on a pilot basis, a Batesville campaign with the intention that funds raised in Batesville-Panola County will be distributed through a funds distribution process similar to that used in Lafayette County. General Electric, Lowe’s, and Regions Bank in Batesville participated in the pilot. Representatives from Batesville businesses will form a fund distribution committee to review agency proposals for funding and recommend action to the UWOLC Board. In accordance with UWOLC fund distribution policies, agencies receiving funds in Batesville through UWOLC will be required to identify outcomes and indicators and measure, analyze and report results. Kathy Sukanek, United Way Executive Director, is working with GE representatives to set up the program. Outcome Measurement Training Program volunteer, Dr. E. Franc Hudspeth, will work with Batesville-Panola County agencies in designing their outcome measurement program.
