Good Food for Oxford Schools’ mission is to leverage farm to school principles to bring local produce into school cafeterias and serve more cooked-‐from scratch menu items while simultaneously educating students and families on the importance of eating well through school garden education and community cooking classes.
United Way helps fund the Good Food For Oxford Schools Garden Project. The Garden Project educates students on healthy eating by growing their own food, working toward the ulitmate goal of including school gardens as a part of their normal teaching schedules across curricula. Plus, students will eat anything they grow! This teaches importance of leading healthy lifestyles that last a lifetime.
